Doug Federspiel — Sole Proprietor of Problem Solver, Law, PLLC

An accomplished legal professional, Doug Federspiel has held a variety of roles during his more than 32 years in the legal field. He has served as a trial attorney specializing in commercial litigation, general counsel for a major corporation, and a district court and superior court judge in Washington. Doug Federspiel is currently the sole owner of Problem Solver Law, PLLC, where he offers arbitration, mediation, general counsel services, contract work, and litigation advice to a range of clients.

Doug Federspiel previously worked as a partner with Velikanje, Moore & Shore, Inc. P.S. for 17 years, specializing in commercial litigation. In 2006, he began working as general counsel for the Wilkinson Corporation, a large real estate firm. In 2011, he moved into the judicial area, beginning as a district court judge in Yakima County, and later as a superior court judge. Mr. Federspiel was named Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year by the American Bar Association’s Family Law Division and received an invitation to become a fellow for the Litigation Counsel of America.

When not busy with his successful legal career, Doug Federspiel takes the time to engage in many outdoor pursuits, including hiking, mountain climbing, camping, and fishing. An accomplished golfer, he is a former City Golf Champion for the city of Yakima.
